Cornwall Can is a social movement/ campaign started on the 1st June 2018. It has been set up by Laura Faulkner who runs, owns and operates www.cornwall-can.co.uk (this website).
Laura is committed to maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of all users to the website. The following statement explains the policy regarding the personal information collected from you, from forms you complete and submit to us and in connection with your use of our Website.

This website does not require any financial data or transaction data that in anyway relates back to the use of card payment of involvement of money.

Aggregated Data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered sharing of personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity.
Aggregated Data maybe used for purposes that include testing our IT systems, research, data analysis, improving our site and developing services in conjunction with the local health authorities. Therefore this information maybe shared with Cornwall Council or NHS providers to ensure we are getting the correct services into the correct demographics.

Your data maybe shared with the in house IT team, to enable the support of web content, provide or reset passwords.
Police and law enforcement- whereby there maybe suspicious activity/ law breaking conduct then information may be passed on to comply with investigations and prevent the possibility of crime.
Where required to do so by law the government and regulators may have information shared with them. This will be to assist with ongoing investigations.
This website is used in conjunction with Google Analytics, setting cookies to collect information about how visitors use the website. This information is collected to aid compile reports to improve the website. Cookie information is in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to the website and blog, where visitors have come to the website from and the pages they visited.

Our tracker is a plug-in for WordPress.co.uk the registered trade name of this is Weight loss tracker. In both cases, personal data collected will not be sent to these third parties or anyone else that is not set out above.
Only aggregate statistical information and analytics about users of our products and services maybe shared with third parties but no one will be identifiable from this information before it is disclosed.
Occassionally, you may receive information in regards to the latest health promotion, events and offers available within your locality. This will only be in the form of email and will only be sent in accordance with the preferences set when signing up to the website. Your data, will only be stored for the length of time the account is open.
The team running Cornwall Can, consists of only Laura Faulkner. There are numerous measures in place to ensure the safety of all information is secured safely. The aim is to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of information under Laura’s control, such as passwords and firewalls. Despite these actions there can not be a guarantee that these measures are, or will remain, adequate. However, data security is very seriously and there will be all reasonable endeavours to protect the integrity of the information you provide.
If you decide to close your account, the account will be suspended and all data will be destroyed after 14 days. This is to ensure that you have been given time if you change your mind but equally avoiding where possible a breach of unauthorised access to your information. Which should be avoided at all costs.
No personal data will be held after this time.
If there is a breach to your personal data, you WILL be notified immediately, to comply with the law.

This policy can be changed at any time. It will be changed to comply with the data protection laws that are set within the United Kingdom and across the EEA.
