Get Into Golf?
Most people don’t think of golf as a source of health and fitness, but it’s actually one of the best! When you play a standard round of 18 holes you’ll walk the best part of four miles, enjoying the fresh air and often some stunning views, but you can build up to this so you don’t have to be fit to get started. It’s a great way to meet people – there is time for a chat both on and off the course – and the handicap system means you can play with anyone. Male, female, young, old and everything between – you all play the course at your own level.
It used to be expensive, and in some places exclusive, but take a look at the England Golf website to see how that has changed. There are clubs and centres everywhere offering introductory lessons and later on, memberships, at a reasonable cost. There will be some near you, so take a look at the attached brochure to find out all you need to get started. Get into Golf – give it a go!
