All the leaves are brown…

Be honest, did you sing the rest of the song after seeing the title?

Autumn 🍂 is here at last and is absolutely beautiful! The leaves changing on the trees, the chance to wear fluffy hats and snuggle up to loved ones on the sofa, as the nights draw in darker earlier. It’s the time of the year for bonfires, fresh crisp air and fireworks. There is so much to look forward too over the coming months.

There is a lot of wonderful healthy campaigns that Cornwll Can are also looking forward to being a part of over the coming months.

During October, we will be supporting and focusing on Stoptober. To help people give up and stay away from smoking for long term. But also looking at the advice surrounding weight gain during this time.

During November, we are aiming to encourage everyone to talk to the men in their lives about their health. Whether it’s your dad, partner, husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew or grandad! This is because men are dying younger, not accessing their gp services early enough when signs are there. When was the last time you asked the men in your live how they were?

We will also be encouraging everyone to undertake 60 kilometres of activity over he month to raise awareness of the suicide rates amongst men in the UK. Move this Movember by running or walking 60 kilometres over the month. That’s 60 kilometres for the 60 men we lose to suicide each hour, every hour.

Our next group walk will be at Siblyback lake, witha. Date to be confirmed on our events page soon.

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that came alongto the health promotion day on Monday 24th September! It was great to meet you all, especially the public and supporters. The remaining fruit from the day went to the local food bank and also the local children’s nursery.

If you have any ideas on future events we would love to hear from you, even if it’s a zumbathon, football or walk.

We hope you I hear from you soon!
